hang in there . . .
while the world reads Harry Potter. I just got my copy today but am saving it for vacation up north. We leave Monday morning -- I hope to be reading on the beach by mid afternoon.

What a lovely idea. I just got back from the beach but amd wishing I was back there.
Have a wonderful time - I hope you're already further into the book than I am... only pg. 252 today. They saw me reading it at the dentist today & they started talking about the ending! Ingrates!
Completely unrelated to this post, I just saw your comment over at the Harlot's about wanting your daughter to realize her life's ambition is to become a piper.
My Dad's a piper, and a really excellent one and I'm as big a fan as the next girl of the sound of the pipes wafting across the way but the practice sessions in the house are definitely hard on the psyche. I'm pretty sure the learning curve would kill you. Just sayin'.
